On Wednesday, July 27, a Neil Young tribute band called Ragged Glory
will be performing a free concert at the Lyman Point Park by the
Municipal Building.

Dr. Sketchy’s of White River Junction is organizing a FLASH MOB
SKETCHING EVENT at this concert.

You may have seen “flash mob” events on youtube.com or other social
media sites.  The idea is that it’s a surprise to other spectators
(and to the concert organizers) and the goal is to advertise the Dr.
Sketchy phenomenon in a fun, unique way.  In other words, let’s show
them what we do!

The plan is this:  All Dr. Sketchy participants (aka Sketchees), armed
with sketchbooks and pencils, will mingle with the non-Sketchy
audience at large—posing as any other typical concert-goer.  You are
encouraged to bring your family and friends.  At 7:00, our
outlandishly costumed model will arrive and the Sketchees will swarm
around him/her to draw for approximately 10 minutes while helpers
distribute Dr. Sketchy promotional materials.  At the 10-minute mark,
the model will be whisked away and Sketchees may either leave or
rejoin the crowd.

Keep in mind, this is not an event that is in any way sponsored or
authorized by the city or concert organizers and we would like to keep
it a secret!  Please help us spread the word, but only to those you
trust so we can have both a lot of participation and also maintain the
element of surprise.
